Six services will open to the public on Monday - community nursing, diabetes services, podiatry, the geriatric clinic, child and family healthcare and child speech pathology.
Other services will gradually open throughout July with the area's first renal dialysis clinic set for a July 21 start date.
"It is very exciting to be able to bring the community a range of new and existing services all in the one space," Hunter New England Health clinical integration co-ordinator Megan Alston said.
"It will provide an increased level of care, and not just care but integrated care, to the community."
Community members can visit the site, called the Raymond Terrace Health Centre, today, June 26, between 3pm and 7pm for information on services, to meet staff and for a pre-opening tour.
The Examiner toured the building last Monday - take a virtual tour in the gallery above.
The medical hub started as a NSW government initiative, but was stalled at the end of 2011 after the state and federal governments agreed to jointly fund the project.
Development approval for a larger project was granted by the Joint Regional Planning Panel at the beginning of 2012 and construction started in July 2013.
"It is absolutely fantastic to see this open, it is something we have wanted for a long time," Port Stephens MP Craig Baumann said.
"It was worth the wait."
