The second Hit the Bricks festival involved about two dozen artists, who targeted sites in the CBD, Newcastle West, Honeysuckle and Mayfield.
Organisers chose areas with unsightly or bland walls in locations with high visibility.
Adnate, who created the portrait of an Aboriginal boy near Wickham Station at the inaugural event last year, teamed up with Numskull to work on a seven-storey piece in King Street. Other pieces can be found outside Newcastle Art Gallery, in Darby Street, Perkins Street, in Hunter Street Mall, Pacific Street, Maitland Road, Roe Street and Hanbury Street.
