Clarke purchased a luxury four bedroom terrace on Monday, the same day he was named as an ambassador for the resort and marina, joining Newcastle-born model and TV host Jennifer Hawkins.
The announcement comes ahead of the first release of land, limited to 32 lots from $398,888, at a launch party on Sunday.
Located at Morisset Park, the 23-hectare waterfront property is expected to attract interest from a number of high-profile buyers and Clarke predicted the resort would become a “Sydney weekender hotspot”.
“[Like] another Palm Beach or day trip destination, but with more of a marina lifestyle resort focus,” he said.
“We are absolutely delighted to be the first buyers to secure a stunning lakeside home at Trinity Point and we are already planning our family holidays and weekend trips away.”
Johnson Property CEO Keith Johnson was “delighted” to have Clarke on board.
“Michael is a fantastic fit for Trinity Point and we are thrilled that he is our first purchaser,” Mr Johnson said.
The Newcastle Herald reported last week that Johnson Property Group had appointed French hotel giant AccorHotels to operate the five-start resort precinct.
The Pullman Trinity Point Resort will include a 65-room hotel, 150 serviced apartments, business and conference facilities and a 188-berth marina, as well as luxury hotel facilities and retail stores.
Next door to the resort will be a 250-apartment precinct, including a mix of short stay accommodation and residential apartments.
The first land release will include 32 lots ranging in size from 450 square metres to 660 square metres.
