Evans made his European Championships debut for Scarlets in the 29-12 to the Paris powerhouse, who went on to make the final, going down 21-6 to Saracens.
The former Merewether and Wanderers loose head made three appearances off the bench in the European Championships and 11 in the Pro 12 premiership in his first season at Llanelli.
The 27-year-old’s performances were enough to secure a two-year deal. And with 200-game veteran loose head Phil John now retired, Evans hopes to force his way in the starting side.
“My first season was a pretty steep learning curve,” said Evans, who returned to Wales on Wednesday after a three-week holiday. “It was a bit surreal to look across the bench and see Dan Carter. Even to be playing against Munster and Leinster – teams I dreamed off as a kid. Now, I know what is ahead of me. I want to establish myself and have a break-out season.”
