Students at the school have been given the chance to decide what’s on the school canteen menu.
The children have created four individual dishes that are on sale during term two.
Each sale will count as a vote towards the students’ favourite dish.
It is part of a drive at the school to promote healthy lifestyles and ‘‘green up’’ the school canteen.
Deputy principal Lee Saurins said students had to research the fat, protein and kilojoule content of each dish.
‘‘The children are really excited about having so many options,’’ she said.
The meals, such as ‘‘Rylan’s wrap’’, were named after students to provide more encouragement to eat more fresh food.
‘‘The idea is we can change our way of life by making better choices,’’ Ms Saurins said.
