The $104 million development on the corner of Bishopsgate and Hannell streets will be the developers’ third of four projects for Wickham, adding to WestEnd and Eaton on Union.
The details of a fourth and final instalment – the ‘T’ of W.E.S.T – is set to be announced in coming months.
Stella on Hannell will comprise 500 square metres of ground-floor commercial space plus 149 apartments across two towers.
The mix will be 45 one-bedroom, two one-bedroom plus a study, 92 two-bedroom and 10 three-bedroom residences.
Prices will range from $429,500 to $1.399 million.
Luke Berry, director of sales and marketing for Thirdi Group, said interest had already been strong and as they prepared to launch their latest project two of the eight penthouses on offer looked to have already been secured for around $1.4 million each.
“We’ve accepted two deposits on our penthouses, one in each tower,” Mr Berry said.
“We’ve been getting 50 to 60 enquiries a week and have already had 2000 people register their interest for the launch date.
“It’s a fantastic indication of the market and the future of Wickham for properties like that to be already getting secured.
“We’ve got a list of people wanting those penthouses and upper level two and three-bedroom apartments.”
Stella on Hannell, named after the daughter of architect Luke Mahaffey of JLM Architecture, will be 14 storeys tall and will offer harbour and city views from lower levels up.

There will be multiple outdoor areas, including a rooftop garden.
“It’s going to be a stunning piece of architecture on that West End,” Mr Berry said. “It’s got a commanding northeast aspect and from level five up to 14 you’re going to have never-to-be-built-out views looking up the harbour.
“When you combine a really good build with a northerly aspect and water views, that’s always the type of real estate that outperforms any others on the market. I think that’s why enquiry is so great.”
The project is still awaiting Development Application approval but the delivery of both Eaton on Union and Stella on Hannell have been earmarked for March 2020.
By the time Stella on Hannell is completed, Thirdi Group will have delivered over $323 million in new projects to the region in nearly 10 years.
In a joint venture with the Samaritans charity, 12 apartments will be set aside and made available to higher needs residents that qualify for the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
