Lake Macquarie City Council has received an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the helipad.
“The EIS has been publicly notified in accordance with the legislation, including letters to residents, an advertisement in the newspaper, and a sign on the site,” a council spokesperson said.
Hard copies of the EIS are available at council’s administration building, the Department of Planning and Environment, in Newcastle, and Morisset Library.
The EIS documents can also be viewed on council’s website through the application tracking system.
“The Trinity Point helipad proposal also requires a modified ‘Concept Plan’ approval from the Department of Planning and Environment,” the spokesperson said.
JPG said that process was occurring concurrently with the DA process.
Modification of the State Concept Approval must come before any DA approval and therefore the timing of the DA is reliant upon the Department of Planning and Environment assessment timeframes.
The development application will remain on public notification until June 11.
Written submissions can be lodged by email to council@lakemac.nsw.gov.auor by mail to Box 1906, HRMC, NSW 2310.
“Council staff will assess the application, including the EIS. The application will be reported to council for determination,” the council spokesperson said.
