Goldsmith is joined by clubmates Bobbi Law and Maya Stewart, Wanderers back Ashley Walker and former Uni No.8 Brittany Duff (Warringah) in the squad. Layne Morgan is playing for Macquarie University.
Hunter trio, twins Nicole and Leilani Nathan and Emma Bradford are in the UNE development squad.
Hunter Sports High rugby co-ordinator Will Scully is manager.
“Tahlia had a difficult time last year after coming back from ankle surgery,” Scully said. “She went from playing for NSW to having to rebuild her empire.”
The expanded tournament is in its second year and features 10 universities from around Australia in a five-leg series.
* Va Talaileva will stay at the helm of Southern Beaches next season, but the inspirational back-rower plans to get some help. Talaileva will play again and is in talks with potential assistants.
* NSW Country Championship-winning Newcastle under-20s coach Tim Partridge will assist Steve Merrick at Singleton next season.
* Let the rivalry begin. Merewether and Hamilton will combine forces with their introduction to rugby programs at Gibbs Brothers Oval on Saturday. The Greens Grommets and Tiny Hawks sessions are for kids aged two to seven and are non contact.
* Jarryd Logan has finished the regular season as the No.1 referee and will control the elimination final on Sunday. Brendon Farrar will be in charge of the major semi.
