A lot of things have changed in that time, but the job is still the same.
“I think we are all in this job for similar reasons,” Herald senior deputy editor Lisa Allan says.
“I think anyone who does a job like the news does it because they love telling stories.”
A series of interviews conducted over 10 days in September revealed how Herald journalists and editors find the stories that fill the pages of the daily print and digital editions, and why and how they fell into the news business.
