BEACH WATCH

Messy to choppy conditions today with not much let up from the strong onshore winds. Northern corners will be the best chance of a wave on the incoming tide. Swells swung arond to the East at 1.5 to 2.5m. Wind out of the East to N/E. Tides shallow first up and try Nobbys Bank and as tide comes in, Newcastle Beach off the alley. To the south not many options with the central coast worth a look. To the north Birubi and Seals Rocks area. Waters slightly murky in and cooler. Strong sweeps in the southern corners on run out tides. Only swim if the flags are red and yellow.Water temp 16C. - Dave Anderson
