The McGrath Foundation is urging cricketers around the country – from backyard cricketers to school teams and club players – to get their mates together, pink up their cricket game, and register to host a fundraising Pink Stumps Day this summer.
Pink Stumps Day is the McGrath Foundation’s largest community fundraising campaign.
It’s where cricket teams, clubs, work places, schools and backyard players turn their cricket game pink to raise funds for the organisation.
The McGrath Foundation’s mission is to ensure every family affected by breast cancer has access to a free McGrath breast care nurse, no matter where they live, and no matter their financial situation.
“Hosting a Pink Stumps Day is a great way to get your family and mates together and enjoy Australia’s favourite summer tradition while batting for the McGrath Foundation,” the organisation’s co-founder and president, Glenn McGrath said.
“Over 1200 people all across Australia held games last season and helped to raise over $1 million.”
When you register to host a Pink Stumps Day event, you’ll receive everything you need to pink up your game.
You can hold a Pink Stumps Day at any time.
And everyone who registers before the end of the month will have the chance to win the “ultimate Sydney Pink Test experience” in January.
The prize includes accommodation at a five-star Sydney hotel, and tickets to days 3 and 4 of the Sydney Test for four people.
