Peru's Supreme Court has confirmed the annulment of a pardon which was granted to former president Alberto Fujimori, leaving him in prison.

The Supreme Court in October overturned a pardon bestowed by then-president Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Fujimori, who was serving a 25-year prison sentence for crimes against humanity.
The 80-year-old then spent more than 100 days under custody at a private health clinic until he was jailed in late January.
The former strongman's lawyers appealed the decision to revoke the pardon, but it was maintained by the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
The court earlier ruled that the pardon, which Kuczynski granted the ailing Fujimori on humanitarian grounds, was not justified.
It was widely believed that Kuczynski, who was facing impeachment due to corruption allegations, granted the pardon in return for the abstention of Fujimori's congressman son Kenji and fellow lawmakers.
Kuczynski finally resigned in March last year.
Fujimori was found guilty in 2009 of joint responsibility for 25 murders and two kidnappings during his 1990-2000 rule, as well as several corruption cases.
