Touring on the back of a new album Chip Tooth Smile, the hugely successful solo artist and frontman for Matchbox Twenty will - for the first time - perform at Bimbadgen Estate.
Thomas, who has sold more than 80 million records, has performed in the Hunter Valley twice before: at Hope Estate with Matchbox 20 in 2012, and at a solo gig there in 2015.
Fans can expect to hear all the hits plus favourites plucked from Thomas' 30-year career, as well as a taste of new tracks from his fourth solo album Chip Tooth Smile.
Among his numerous hits are solo classics like Lonely No More, This Is How A Heart Breaks, Her Diamonds, Streetcorner Symphony, Little Wonders and Matchbox Twenty favourites Push, 3AM, If You're Gone, Unwell, How Far We've Come and Bent, as well as Smooth, his worldwide smash hit Santana collaboration.
Smooth celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and last year was ranked as the second-most-successful song of all time on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In 2017, the Grammy award-winning hit was named by APRA as the second-most-played song on Australian radio in the past 25 years.
Thomas has beefed up his debut at Bimbadgen with Australian hit-makers Pete Murray, Daryl Braithwaite and Russell Morris as his supports.
Murray (Better Days, Opportunity), Braithwaite (The Horses, One Summer) and Morris (The Real Thing) have all previously drawn large crowds to the wine country in their own right through their extensive back catalogue and strong live reputations. Braithwaite and Morris are also ARIA Hall Of Fame inductees.
Thomas, who has sold more than 80 million records solo and with his band, has performed in the Hunter Valley twice before: at Hope Estate with Matchbox 20 in 2012, and at a solo gig there in 2015.
