Canberra electronic wizards Peking Duk headline the bill at Wickham Park on Saturday, November 9 and become the first act to be invited to perform on This That's main stage twice. Peking Duk last performed at the festival in 2016.
Rock and indie fans haven't been forgotten either with Sydney band Middle Kids performing their first Newcastle show since the release of their breakthrough debut album Lost Friends and the follow-up EP New Songs For Old Problems.
Indie singer-songwriters Ali Barter, Alex Lahey and Alex The Astronaut will also return.
Meg Mac's last two Newcastle shows at the Cambridge Hotel and Bar On The Hill have been sell outs, so the indie-soul singer is expected to attract a big crowd when she performs tracks off her latest record Hope.

For EDM devotees there will be ample opportunity to party. Sydney deep house producer Golden Features will close the main stage, while Hermitude, Los Angeles' NGHTMRE and Jai Wolf are also on the bill.
The Novocastrian flag will be waved by dance-punk three-piece Raave Tapes, in what will be their biggest hometown festival show to date.
Other acts announced include Carmouflage Rose, Cxloe, Didirri, Enschway, Essie Holt, Haiku Hands, LDRU, Lucille Croft, Northeast Party House, Running Touch, San Mei, Slumberjack, with more to be announced.
The This That announcement follows sister-festival Scene & Heard which dropped its line-up last month.
The generation X-focused festival hits Wickham Park a day after This That on November 10 and features The Dandy Warhols, Wolfmother, Jebediah, Magic Dirt, Alex Lloyd and Eskimo Joe.
Pre-sale for This That begins 9am Thursday, followed by general admission tickets at 9am Friday.
