A combined 27 new positions will be created across four police districts in the Hunter, the NSW government has announced.

More than 150 of the 450 new law enforcement jobs the government has pledged statewide were allocated on Tuesday.
There will be 11 additional jobs in the Coalfields police command of Hunter Valley, while Newcastle will receive six new positions and Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens-Hunter each have five earmarked.
The government has promised to add 1500 police to the force across NSW over the next four years.
It expects to deliver 450 in the next 12 months.
"These fully-funded positions are the resource boost we need to continue to drive down crime and protect the community," NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller said.
"Positions are being placed in the areas most in need across the state. We will see more officers in police area commands and police districts as well as in specialist commands, such as our Strategic Intelligence, Rural Crime and Cyber Crime Squads."
