NEWCASTLE's last week of summer is forecast to be moderate, with showers predicted and temperatures not expected to lift above 33 degrees.

The Bureau of Meteorology's forecast includes mostly sunny conditions, a five per cent chance of rain and temperatures between 19 and 29 degrees on Tuesday.
The BOM has warned of a 50 per cent chance of rain and a possible thunderstorm on Wednesday, with a maximum of 33 degrees before a gusty cool change.
Thursday is expected to be cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of rain and temperatures between 19 and 25, while Friday is predicted to have a 30 per cent chance of rain and temperatures between 19 and 29 degrees.
