Following an "18-month job" building his squad, which now includes two-time Anderson Medal winner Carl Manu, and 82 registered players, Munro says the Students "just want to play footy".
He reckons one full round, or eight games, from mid July and a finals series finishing in either August or September could work for a coronavirus-impacted campaign.
The NHRU have yet to commit to either playing or cancelling the postponed season and a meeting between club presidents scheduled for Thursday was put back until next week.
Meanwhile, a final call about the Newcastle Wildfires entering this year's Shute Shield has not been released with June 12 looming as the deadline to submit a participation agreement to Sydney Rugby Union. Round one is set down for July 25 while Penrith recently announced they were "delighted" to be returning.
