Newcastle Knights winger Starford To'a is expected to be stood down and ordered to spend 14 days in isolation with the club investigating claims he and young teammate Simi Sasagi broke COVID-19 protocols by attending a local league game in Newcastle on Sunday.

Knights CEO Phil Gardner on Sunday night confirmed two "young players" were being investigated by the club following revelations they were seen at yesterday's Western Suburbs-Central Newcastle clash at Harker Oval.
It is unclear who reported the players.
To'a made his first appearance for the Knights in the NRL this season on Saturday, scoring a try in his side's 44-4 thrashing of the Wests Tigers. Sasagi is in the club bubble but is yet to make his top grade debut.
With To'a set to be stood down, it will potentially open the door for Tautau Moga to be given a recall for Sunday's clash against Manly.
