A man has been refused bail after he was charged with additional fraud-related counts as part of an ongoing investigation at Lake Macquarie.

Detectives last November established Strike Force Corymbia to investigate alleged fraudulent offences committed by Matthew John Murdoch.
Strike force detectives initially charged him in June this year - he remains before the courts for those matters.
But after further investigations, police arrested the 54-year-old at a Hamilton South unit about 6am on Tuesday.
He was charged with two counts each of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception, aggravated break and enter - commit serious indictable offence and doing an act intending to pervert the course of justice.
He was also charged with one count each of obtaining financial advantage by deception and using a false document to obtain property.
Police allege Mr Murdoch used several aliases - a medical professional and a senior business executive - to fraudulently obtain $42,533 from clients between April, 2019, and July, 2020.
He was refused bail in Newcastle Local Court on Tuesday and the matter was adjourned to September 17.
