A man has been charged after police allegedly found 1kg of cocaine in his pants.

An investigation following the seizure of drugs and cash at East Maitland last weekend led police to an industrial shed at Heatherbrae on Wednesday, where Brendan Hoskins allegedly jumped out a window in an attempt to escape officers.
When the 31-year-old was arrested a short time later, police allegedly found a 1kg package of cocaine inside his shorts as they were arresting him.

Police searched the property and seized motorcycles, a car, methylamphetamine, cash, mobile phones and knuckle dusters.
Mr Hoskins was charged with five offences including supply large commercial quantity prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, attempt stalk/intimidate intend fear of harm (domestic) and deal with proceeds of crime.
He did not apply for bail when he faced Maitland Local Court on Thursday, where the matter was adjourned to October 7.
