A TEENAGER has suffered fractures and a possible back injury after she came off a horse north of Forster on Sunday.

At 4.50pm the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was sent to Rainbow Flat to a report of a person needing urgent medical care after being thrown from a horse she was riding .
Paramedics and the helicopter critical care medical team treated a 16-year-old girl at the scene. They stabilised the patient before she was flown to John Hunter Hospital for treatment.
According to Westpac Rescue Helicopter the young girl suffered fractures and a suspected back injury in the fall.
She remains in a stable condition.
