A woman accused of defrauding the National Disability Insurance Scheme to the tune of more than $170,000 will remain in custody until at least next week, after she faced court on Friday.

Susan Diane Reed did not enter any pleas when she appeared at Newcastle Local Court charged with one count each of dealing with the proceeds of crime, obtaining financial advantage by deception and breaching bail.
Nor did she apply for bail.
The 66-year-old from Wallsend was charged on February 12 after an investigation by police in Quakers Hill began in November.
Police allege Ms Reed received $174,000 after submitting invoices to the NDIS for services she did not provide.
Magistrate Janine Lacy adjourned the matter to Maitland Local Court on February 24.
