A MAN has died after he was found with a stab wound to his stomach in Newcastle on Sunday.

Police said the 56-year-old attended a Broadmeadow Road property in that suburb and a female occupant observed the injury to his torso.
The woman and a neighbour helped the man before paramedics arrived.
He was taken to the John Hunter in a critical condition.
Police confirmed the man had died on Tuesday.
Newcastle police established a crime scene and are investigation.
They are urging anyone who saw or heard anything in Broadmeadow between 7pm and 8.30pm, or who may have dash-cam footage from the Nineways area in those times, to contact Newcastle police station or call 1800 333 000.
It is the second stabbing incident in the Hunter during the past week after two men were seriously injured at Cliftleigh in the early hours of Friday.
