Family members are hoping to raise $10,000 for the couple, aged in their late 60s, to help them rebuild.
"Raya and Gail ... have four children and eight grandchildren and this had been their family home for 46 years," Katie Joliffe, a family member who set up the Go Fund Me page, wrote online.
"They lost everything. Please donate what you can to help the family in what will be a very long recovery."
The couple were at home with their 10-year-old granddaughter at the time of the fire. Ray attempted to douse the blaze but it was to no avail.
The trio exited but Ray went back inside the Meredith Street house to fight the blaze with a garden hose in a desperate attempt to save the family home.
The Go Fund Me Page is titled "Family lost everything in fire".
More than $1500 has been raised so far.
