The $696,000 auction sale of a two-bedroom Victorian terrace on 63.25 square metres of land in Wickham last Sunday was described by Richardson & Wrench's Matt Barnes as "a solid result".
There were seven registered bidders for 28 Bishopsgate Street, which was marketed by Mr Barnes with a guide of $575,000 to $625,000.

There were also seven registered bidders for a renovated three-bedroom miner's cottage on a 260 square metre block at 62 Young Street in Carrington that Mr Barnes marketed with a guide of $800,000 to $880,000.
The auction was "fiercely contested" before selling for $1.15 million.
The $891,000 auction sale of a three-bedroom house at 16 Young Street, New Lambton exceeded all expectations last Saturday. Nick Townsend, of Century 21 Novocastrian, marketed the property with a guide of $700,000 to $750,000. There were nine registered bidders with a Sydney buyer securing the property.

Belle Property had a four-bedroom home with lake views at 11 Hopkins Street, Speers Point set for auction Saturday but it sold prior for $1.125 million.
A three-bedroom house with a separate studio at 49 Tiral Street, Charlestown that was marketed by Belle Property Newcastle with a guide of $850,000 was also secured before its scheduled auction for $950,000.
