Jets coach Craig Deans said his team will take the same focus on winning into their final game after a 1-1 draw with Perth on Saturday night briefly got them off the bottom of the A-League ladder.

Newcastle put in a spirited but ultimately frustrating performance against Glory on Old Boys' Day at McDonald Jones Stadium after dominating chances created.
Just two days after Deans announced he would be stepping aside at season's end, the Jets earned a point to rise to 18 and go ahead of Melbourne Victory on goal difference. However, Victory scored a late equaliser in their final match against premiers Melbourne City on Sunday to edge ahead.
Newcastle now have their rescheduled match against City this week left to avoid the wooden spoon. A draw will be enough, but Deans indicated on Saturday night that the Jets would go all out for three points.
"We don't want to be where we are, we don't even want to be second bottom, but there's nothing we can do about that now," Deans said.
"Every week the conversation is about just being the best we can be on the game day and winning every game and we speak about winning every game. We never speak about trying to scrape a draw or anything like that.
"We've got one game to go and we'll take exactly the same attitude into that."
Bruno Fornaroli put Perth ahead on 21 minutes on Saturday night with a stunning long-range strike.
Newcastle got a deserved equaliser in the 70th minute when Angus Thurgate showed a deft touch under pressure to chip keeper Tando Velaphi at close range from an acute angle.
Newcastle then looked the most likely to score.
Lucas Mauragis and Archie Goodwin, the teenage stars of Tuesday's 2-0 win over Central Coast, had the home fans on their feet in the 83rd minute. Mauragis put in a gut-busting run before finding Goodwin, who beat a defender then shot, only for Velaphi to parry it wide.
It was one of several bright moments from the Jets attack, especially 16-year-old Goodwin, without them landing the killer blow.
"I've had this conversation many times this year, so I'm not going to say much that I haven't already said about performances like that," Deans said. "I think the contrast is that they had I think maybe three shots on target and one of them is a world-class goal, and we had lots of chances and we are just not quite there.
"Again frustrating, but really happy with the commitment of the players and the attitude of the players, and we improved our football in the second half.
"We played some better football in the second half, which is what we asked for at half-time, so happy for the players, especially on a day like today for the club with the old boys here, to show a bit of fight was nice."
Goodwin looked to have earned a chance for the Jets to equalise in the 51st minute when he went down under close attention in the penalty area. However, referee Adam Fielding waved away the appeal before the VAR backed the on-field decision.
Despite his frustrations, Deans was proud of the players' efforts after his decision to quit because of the drain of the top job.
"I'm not leaving because I don't think the players are listening to me or giving me the effort," Deans said.
"I'll fight every day anyone who comes and tells me they don't try their hardest.
"I'm just proud of them that they've had a good performance again. They've had three or four in a row and they've been a bit unlucky not to have more points than we've got but as I said, that's been the story of the season.
"I thought it was just nice to finish the season at home with a nice performance, and it would have been great to get a win."
Newcastle promoted Ali Abbas and Matt Millar to the starting side in place of Lachlan Jackson, who was released on Thursday to join a Korean club, and the injured Johnny Koutroumbis (ankle).
With their top-six hopes over, Perth started just four of their first XI from the 2-1 loss to Brisbane on Wednesday, leaving stars Diego Castro and Andy Keogh on the bench.
Fornaroli, though, was still in the 11 and he put the visitors ahead with a quality strike from 25 yards out after Abbas slipped over. Fornaroli used the time and space to power his shot into the top right corner.
Goodwin, in his second starting appearance, had chances in the 24th and 25th minutes but Velaphi was low to his left both times to save.
Goodwin, who set up a goal in his starting debut on Tuesday, used a nice touch to get in behind for the first attempt.
He hit a better shot, from closer range, second time around but Velaphi was up to the task.
The homegrown talent threatened again in first-half injury time, hitting a shot straight to Velaphi then producing a dangerous cross, but the score remained 1-0 at the break.
The Jets brought on young forward Blake Archbold in place of midfielder Jordan O'Doherty to start the second half, while Perth injected Joel Chianese at the expense of Carlo Armiento.
A minute later, Millar also went down in the box but he was booked for simulation.
