The 8-year-old caught the UFO on video.
His mum Nia Bousles said the "strange white unidentified object was hanging low in the sky on June 6 at around 5pm".
"It was there and then it was not. I think it might have been a UFO," Nia said.
"My son said it moved a tiny bit to the left but mainly stayed in the same spot, while he watched it just generally hanging in the sky.
"It seemed strange just hovering there, as it did not look like a helicopter or a plane when he zoomed in."
Andrew said the object was hovering in the sky for about three minutes.
He said it looked like a "shiny small bright white sphere that was a little blurry".
He could not see any lights as it was during the day, but it was "very bright against the sky". When it left, it was "there one second and then gone the next".
"It was so quick he didn't see it disappear, but when he looked again it was gone."
When he first saw the object, Andrew wondered "What the heck is that?"
"That's why he started recording the video, as he had never seen anything like it. He was amazed how it just stayed in one place for most of the time hovering there," Nia said.
He thought it was "epic" when his mum told him "he may have just recorded a UFO above our house". "He was so astonished by what he had seen."
'Non-human origin'
Christopher Mellon spent nearly 20 years in the US intelligence community. Then in 2017, he managed to provide The New York Times with three crucial videos of UFO footage taken from US Navy jets, which the Pentagon confirmed were real. It gave the UFO mystery a more legitimate status.
After the US released its recent report on UFOs, Mellon - a former deputy assistant secretary of defence for intelligence - wrote on his blog that: "The radical capabilities and mysterious appearance of some of the vehicles being observed are consistent with what we'd expect of probes or craft from a space-faring civilisation".
"Our government should establish a cleared panel of UAP [unidentified aerial phenomena], intelligence and scientific experts to study this issue. Mainstream scientists currently lack any detailed understanding either of the phenomenon or its long history, nor do they understand the range of sensor capabilities available to the US or have the knowledge needed to understand where to look within our vast national security apparatus for answers.
"Someone at a high level urgently needs to be assigned responsibility to find out where these objects are coming from, how they work and why they are here. We can no longer deny that someone has mastered technology beyond our understanding and is using it to monitor US military forces and probably much else." With some UFO sightings, he said,"non-human origin is presently the theory that best fits all the facts".
