Hunter New England Health confirmed overnight that the exposure occurred between 2.20pm and 3.35pm on Friday, and has advised anyone who may have visited those areas during the exposure time to get tested and isolate until a negative test result is received.
The Airport was among several Hunter Coles and Woolworths outlets, as well as PK's Olde General Store at Cessnock and Brennan & Smith Optometrist at Glen Innes, to also register casual contact exposures to the virus.
Those sites include the following:
- Newcastle Airport check-in hall, security screening, departure lounge facilities: Friday, September 17, from 2.20pm to 3.35pm
- PK's Olde General Store, Cessnock: Saturday, September 11, from 12pm to 12.15pm
- Brennan & Smith Optometrists, Glen Innes: Monday, September 13, from 3.45pm to 4pm
- Coles, Salamander Bay: Sunday, September 5, from 5.20pm to 3.50pm; Wednesday, September 15, from 8.05am to 9am
- Coles, The Junction: Wednesday, September 15, from 3.35pm to 5.45pm
- Coles, Warners Bay: Wednesday, September 15, from 5.30pm to 6pm
- Coles, Waratah: Wednesday, September 15, from 10am to 10.30am
- Woolworths, Cameron Park: Sunday, September 12, from 4.40pm to 5.35pm
- Woolworths, Charlestown: Thursday, September 9, from 11.40 to 12pm; Friday, September 10, from 9am to 9.15am; Saturday, September 11, from 11am to 11.25am
- Woolworths, Glendale: Friday, September 10, from 5.05pm to 6pm; Saturday, September 11, from 5.05pm to 5.20pm; Tuesday, September 14, from 4.35pm to 4.55pm
- Woolworths, Morisset: Wednesday, September 15, from 1.50pm to 2.25pm
Similarly, anyone who may have visited any of these locations during the exposure time has been urged to get tested and isolate until a negative test result is received.
