The GAP NSW team do a fantastic job finding loving homes for our loving animals, and we have greyhounds of all ages, sizes, and colours available who would all make wonderful additions to anyone's family.
You should head over to www.gapnsw.com.au where you can read all about all of our greyhounds, from youngsters like 20-month-old Xavier, right through to seven-year-old seniors like Bowie and Genie.
Straight Success
We have been delighted with the success and patronage of the Richmond Straight track since it was opened for racing back in April.
The slot we determined best for the Richmond Straight meetings was early Saturday mornings, but we broke with that trend on the Monday of the October long weekend and again the meeting proved incredibly popular.
We held the first non-weekend Richmond Straight meeting on October 11 which was very successful, and on Tuesday afternoon we programmed a meeting in a new timeslot, and once again we were thrilled with being able to stage another 12 races, with full fields, as TAB straight track racing truly finds its niche with participants in the NSW calendar.
Towering Build
GRNSW has many projects on the move at a number of our tracks around the State, and I am hearing great reports about the progress of the work on the new tower at the Dubbo track.
The tower will be used by raceday officials and broadcasters and has been steadily progressing in recent weeks.
The club is hoping to demolish the old tower and move into the new tower by the end of the year.
Clubs Forum
One thing I have tried to implement in my time at the helm of GRNSW is the importance of communication with all stakeholders in our industry.
Each year GRNSW hosts all of our TAB and Non-TAB clubs in Sydney for a Clubs Consultative Forum, and that will be held on Saturday, November 20.
The annual forum gives us the opportunity to update and inform all the clubs about what is happening across all areas of our organisation and industry.
The forum also allows our clubs to ask any questions specific to their club's circumstances or make any enquiries in relation to the industry in NSW as a whole.
We have found these days prove very productive for both the clubs and GRNSW.
