First up is Claire Coelho.
The 25-year-old shot-stopper is gearing up for her ninth season. After limited game time in her first six seasons with the Jets, Coelho has been Newcastle's first-choice goalkeeper for the past two seasons.
She produced some sensational saves in the latter stages of last campaign and Jets coach Ash Wilson believes Coelho has the potential to become a leading figure in the league.
"Claire is a true competitor and is someone whose shot-stopping abilities are fantastic," Wilson said.
"She has higher aspirations for herself and I can see her continuing to push to be one of the top keepers in our league."
NH: What was your first club, and how old were you?
CC: Port Saints Football Club in under eights.
NH: What do you do off the field?
CC: I'm a criminal solicitor at Mandy Hull & Associates. I enjoy bike riding and am a bit of a sucker for a documentary.
NH: What TV series are you addicted to?
CC: At the moment I am watching All American and Maid, and I've just watched For Life about a guy wrongly convicted who becomes a solicitor in custody.
NH: What can't you live without?
CC: A protein bar each day.
NH: What music is playing on game day?
CC: I actually like being calm and in silence, so I end up being victim to whatever is on the team playlist.
NH: Do you have any pre-match habits?
CC: I always put my left of everything on first, so left shin pad, left sock, left boot, left glove before the right. My drink always sits on the left of the goal when I enter it. And when I first enter the 18-yard box I run from top of the 18-yard box to the six then walk from the six to the goal line.
