Tara Andrews is the Jets' all-time leading scorer. Her height and skill make her the perfect target player and the 27-year-old is hard to stop when she has her eye on goal.
Technically gifted, the twice-capped Matilda can turn on a dime and bury the ball into a top corner with either foot.
With more than 100 league appearances and 39 goals, Andrews is key to the club's success this year.
Jets coach Ash Wilson says "you can't buy that experience".
"Tars is so consistent, so composed up there," Wilson said. "That finishing ability and that quality in front of goals.
"She's technically gifted and can drop into midfield. She gives you a lot."
NH: What was your first club, and how old were you?
TA: Merewether United, and I was 10.
NH: What do you do off the field?
TA: I am a civil engineer with ARTC. I'm an area manager at the moment, so I have a maintenance team go out and maintain the rail tracks around the Hunter Valley. I love going away for the weekend. My parents have a place at North Haven, so we try to get up there with any weekends I have off. I also love camping and going to the beach. I've got a mountain bike so my boyfriend and I go mountain biking when we can and I try not to get injured doing that. It's fun and good fitness.
NH: What TV series are you addicted to?
TA: I'm watching Dynasty at the moment.
NH: What can't you live without?
TA: I do love Nutella.
NH: What music is playing on game day?
TA: I don't have a specific song. Usually whatever is playing in the change room. I like a few singalong songs.
NH: Do you have any pre-match habits?
TA: I used to but I've tried to get away from superstitions now. But I've definitely got to have a coffee in the morning. It's a no-brainer.
