LIGHT rail services are expected to resume at full capacity midweek after the service was halted for several days due to mechanical issues.

Services resumed on Monday, with buses supplementing the trams.
Transport NSW attributed the precautionary closure, which began at 5pm on Thursday, to an issue with the gearbox.
"Transport for NSW has worked with Keolis Downer and supplier CAF to urgently investigate the issue and carry out repairs over the weekend," a spokeswoman said.
"This issue is unrelated to the cracking issues identified in the Inner West light rail fleet."
It is understood that four of the city's six vehicles required a fix for the issue.
