Police say they responded to calls for a welfare check at 11.30am on Christmas Eve when they found the 53-year-old dead at a Ruthven Street address.
A 29-year-old North Toowoomba man and a 32-year-old Oakey man have since been charged with murder.
Both were originally charged with grievous bodily harm and have since had their charges upgraded following a post mortem examination.
The pair are due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
