LESS than two dozen Hunter COVID-19 cases are in hospital as the health district again recorded no new deaths.

The Thursday update, which also noted two people require intensive care, showed there were 413 cases found through PCR testing and 963 through rapid antigen tests.
The 1376 new cases was the second-highest health district tally for the day, with only Western Sydney finding more COVID infections in the 24 hours to 4pm on Wednesday.
Nine people died around the state, seven men and two women.
One person was aged in their 30s, one person was in their 40s, two people were in their 50s, one person was in their 60s, two people were in their 70s, one person was in their 80s, and one person was in their 90s.
Four were older than 65. Of those, one person had three doses, one had received a single dose and two were unvaccinated.
The five younger deaths included two people with three doses, one with two doses and two unvaccinated people.
NSW Health said all five had significant underlying health conditions.
Four were from Sydney's southwest, three from western Sydney, one from Shoalhaven and another from Sydney's inner west.
