The five-bedroom estate at 94 Burwood Road was sold inside 10 days and set a new residential sale record for Lake Macquarie.
Buyers from Sydney and Hunter Valley were among 30 groups who inspected the 2.15 acre property during the campaign, and there were also video inspections from Australians living overseas.
LJ Hooker Belmont's Josh O'Doherty, who co-listed the property with Shelby Telfer and PRD's Mark Kentwell, Chasse Ede, and Nathan Hunter, said interest in the campaign was "incredible".
"To have 30 groups through in a very short period of time with a number of interested parties [was incredible]," Mr O'Doherty said.
"Every indication of price was going to be a record ... no matter who we sold it to it was going to be a record and to sell it above $7 million was incredible."

One of Newcastle's most respected figures, Harragon has become a successful media personality since retiring from a glittering league career in 1999.
A regular commentator and a panellist on The Footy Show until 2009, 'Chief' recorded a hit single in 2008 and finished runner-up in the 2015 series of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
The 53-year-old and wife Pam lived in their Whitebridge home 27 years before putting it on the market earlier this month.
"We want to split our time between Newcastle and the Sunshine Coast, we will still be based in Newcastle," Harragon said.
"I will miss the privacy and exclusivity of this location, it is just so unique."
Lake Macquarie's previous residential record was set by 2020's sale of 7 Foreshore Street, Eraring.
