Man wearing Melbourne FC shirt arrested for shouting 'sick old man' at Prince Andrew

Thousands of people lined the streets of the royal mile in Edinburgh in Scotland to watch the Queen's coffin transported to the St Giles' Cathedral, followed by a procession of the Queen's four children.

The heckler, who allegedly told Scottish media his name was 'Rory', yelled "Andrew, you're a sick old man" at the Queen's son as he walked behind the coffin.

Other onlookers hauled the man out of the crowd where he appears to be met by a police officer.

Prince Andrew was stripped of royal duties and military title after he was linked to the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

In February, he settled a US lawsuit with a woman who had accused the prince of sexually abusing her when she was underage, but Prince Andrew denies the allegations.

Prince Andrew appeared in a suit during the procession while other royals wore military uniform, as he is not permitted to wear the uniform as a non-working royal.

Footage from the scene in Scotland captured a woman yelling "disgusting" and another telling the police officer to "get your hands off him", as the young man told the police officer "I've done nothing wrong".

Police later confirmed a 22-year-old man had been arrested in connection with "a breach of the peace".

Protestors made their voices heard among the crowds over the weekend in Scotland, and on Sunday, Scottish police officers confirmed they made another arrest outside St Giles' Cathedral ahead of of King Charles III's accession proclamation.

Some protesters on Sunday were heard booing and a woman was seen holding a sign saying "f*** imperialism, abolish monarchy".

Officers appeared behind her and took her away, prompting the crowd to applaud.

One man shouted: "Let her go, it's free speech" while others yelled: "Have some respect."

A police spokesman said a 22-year-old woman was arrested "in connection with a breach of the peace".
