The feud began when Musk was angered by Zuckerberg's Meta P92, the working title for a social media platform intended to compete with Musk's rival Twitter platform.
But what incensed Musk was a comment by an anonymous Meta executive, overheard by the Verge, that they had been "hearing from creators and public figures who are interested in having a platform that is sanely run".
"I'm sure Earth can't wait to be exclusively under Zuck's thumb with no other options," Musk responded on Twitter.
"At least it will be 'sane'. Was worried there for a moment."
A Twitter user then cautioned Musk because Zuckerburg had been training jui-jitsu, to which Musk replied: "I'm up for a cage match if he is lol."
Zuckerberg then replied on his own social media site, Instagram, with a photo of Musk's tweet and the words, "send me location."
Musk then said "if this is real, I will do it," adding "Vegas octagon", the home of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Zuckerberg, known for creating behemoth Facebook and wearing too much sunscreen has been training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and recently won a tournament in California.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Musk, on the other hand, said in a tweet that he doesn't work out that much besides throwing his kids in the air.
But he does have a special move - the walrus.
"I have this great move I call 'The Walrus', where I just lie on top of my opponent and do nothing," Musk tweeted, before posting videos of walruses.
Standing at 1.87 metres (6ft 1in) and weighing about 85kgs, Musk has the competitive advantage over Zuckerberg, who stands at 1.71 metres (5ft 7in) and weighs less than 70kg.
So in the battle of these two man-children, who have you got?
