Here are some of the best (and weirdest) ideas to come out of this year's showcase.
An LG transparent television
The world's first transparent and wireless 4K OLED television was showcased by LG.
With a 77 inch screen, the highly-anticipated product is due to ship out later this year.
Proponents of the wireless TV say it compliments any interior design space, blends into everyday life and adds depth to images.
Samsung also showcased a prototype transparent television, work is still in progress.
AI electric pram
Did this Canadian start up make parenting a little easier?
The Canadian designed "Rosa" has been touted as an "AI companion" and stroller for your child. The cutting edge-technology comes with bluetooth speakers to play music or white noise and an app that makes the pram rock itself as needed.
Sound absorbing mobility mask
In the future people could make loud phone calls in public without worrying about disturbing those around them, thanks to a sound-absorbing mask.
French company Skyted claims the fitted mask is designed to absorb frequencies in busy environments like trains, busy restaurants or buses.
According to Skyte, the mask muffles 80 per cent of the wearer's voice while also enhancing the volume on calls by isolating outside noises.
Flying cars
Not just the stuff of sci-fi novels, flying cars have loomed large at CES for many years.
XPeng Aeroht updated investors on plans for its flying vehicle, capable of vertical take off and low-altitude flights.
Current designs reveal a 270 degree two-person cockpit offering a wide range of view.
Smart toilets
Kohler unveiled its plants for a new generation of smart toilets.
An innovative "smart toilet seat" can clip onto any loo, allowing it to be controlled by voice commands through Google Assistant or Alexa.
The PureWash Bidet Seat offers personalised cleaning, automatically opens and closes, and adjustable water temperature.
Another company, Withings U-Scan, demonstrated a toilet bowl sensor that monitors nutrition, vitamin levels and even ovulation cycles.
