The plane, scheduled to fly from Perth to Melbourne on the evening of May 27, turned back to the Western Australian capital after less than an hour in the air.
Australian Federal Police (AFP) officers responded to the call from staff on flight VA696 and met the plane at Perth Airport just before 8pm.
Investigators confirmed that a man had been arrested when he allegedly stripped naked and ran through the aircraft shortly after take-off.
Police also said the man allegedly knocked a member of staff to the floor during the nudie run disruption.
After disembarking, the man was transferred to a hospital for assessment and he remains there on the afternoon of May 28.
Police said the charges against the man are "yet to be finalised" but he is expected to to be summonsed to appear before Perth Magistrate's Court on June 14, 2024.
