The 95-year-old nanna is a super fan of chain store ALDI, spending every other day at her local Sydney outlet rummaging for bargains and biscuits.
"I was completely gobsmacked when I saw the limousine, I was dumbfound. It takes a lot to make me stop talking but that kept me quiet," she said. "I've had a lovely day."
The ALDI team had also organised high tea for loyal customer Phyllis and her daughter Marianne, including her favourite chocolate and biscuits.
Her shopping trip was also assisted by the Lane Cove store manager.
Phyllis explained she was not quite a shopaholic but instead frequented the supermarket to give "purpose" for going for a walk, and subsequently keep her fitness up.
"I'm not a person who can walk just for the sake of walking," she said.
"Each Monday, I come up to the shops ... then I buy a lottery ticket, then the next day I come back to see if I've won anything in the lottery ... I come every day here, because I have to have a purpose for coming, I can't just walk up and down for the sake of walking."
Every week Phyllis keeps her body active by heading to ALDI and filling her shopping bags with the essentials like milk, bananas, fresh produce, and sometimes the finer things like ice cream, biscuits and a few sneaky chocolates.
